Term 3 Extra Credit

Due Friday, April 17, 2015!

Successfully answering this will add 10 points to your exam grades for term 3. I expect everyone to do his/her own work on this. No helping!

Two famous British rock bands had original members who had to leave their respective bands due to serious mental illnesses.
  1. What are the names of bands?
  2. What are the musicians' names?
  3. What disorder did they have?

You need all of the answers to earn this bonus, and the musician and band for 1 & 2  must match up. Your answer should look like this:

band A - musician A
band B - musician B
disorder = ???

Hints:
  • Although both bands started in the 1960s, they had their major success in the 70s and 80s, after the musicians in question left.
  • Both bands have two word names (e.g., like "Pearl Jam").
  • One band's name is based on two of the band members' names. The other is based on the names of two blues musicians.
  • Both bands have sold millions of albums.
